Who are the Jehovah’s Witnesses? The World Book Dictionary states:
”JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES - A Christian sect, founded by Charles Tate Russell in Pennsylvania in the 1870’s, adhering to the principle that religious belief is paramount as a rule of life even when in conflict with the regulations of the civil state, and maintaining that the kingdom of God is at hand.”On the other hand, The Catholic Dictionary distinguishes the Jehovah’s Witnesses in the following manner:
“JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES – A modern sect that stems from a group of Adventist Bible students, who in 1872, gathered around Charles Tate Russell in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The title, ‘Witnesses,’ dates only from 1931. Prior to that date, members of the group were usually called ‘Dawnites,’ ‘Russellites,’ ‘Bible Students,’ or ‘Rutherfordies.’
“In their beliefs, the Witnesses are difficult to classify. Basically, they are monarchial, Unitarian, and Fundamentalist. The Witnesses reject the Trinity and the divinity of Jesus Christ. They do not believe in hell and the immortality of all souls. The Bible is their absolute authority. They oppose government, business, and organized religion as unscriptural and the work of the devil. The Bible studies presented in their two magazines, Watchtower (2.1-million circulation) and Awake (1.45-million circulation), continually present new truth as each age requires it. All baptized Witnesses are ministers, in that they are empowered to perform marriages and baptism and to preach. Baptism for them is not a sacrament but a symbol of surrender to Jehovah and a pledge to follow His will as revealed in Scripture. A memorial supper is held on 14th of Nisan to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus. Only those Witnesses who are certain that they belong to the ‘remnant’ may partake. In 1954, there were 829,836 people in attendance at the memorial supper but only 17,884 of this number partook. The ‘remnant’ is the relatively small group needed to fill up the total of the 144,000 marked souls of the Apocalypse. Those who directly had contact with Christ before His death and those now contacting Him since His invisible coming in 1914 are alone eligible for places in the eternal heaven. A thousand years of temporal happiness upon the earth is the reward held out to all other faithful Witnesses. Those who have not been faithful Witnesses, and non-Witnesses in general, will simply be annihilated after the great Battle of Armageddon, which is soon to take place.” - The Catholic Dictionary. Appended to the Holy Bible/ Holy Angels Edition, pp.124-125. The Catholic Press Inc. Chicago, Illinois/1960Both the World Book Dictionary and the Catholic Dictionary have categorically distinguished Charles Tate Russell as the founder of the religious sect called The Jehovah’s Witnesses. The fact that no effort to refute or deny this distinction either from Charles Russell’s group or from any other despite this past long period of time therefore validate the stated distinctions. Thus the indisputable presumption is that Charles Tate Russell is the man, the star witness for his church organization who testifies before the entire world of faith and religion concerning the manner of life that every man must follow and abide in his desire and effort to live in paradise on earth forever.
But Charles Tate Russell had even testified as the star witness concerning other things which had become the fundamental foundation of his religious doctrine and precepts. He testifies that the Trinitarian doctrine being taught by the Catholic Church is not Biblical and therefore false. He denies the divine nature of Jesus Christ and testifies against it. Charles Tate Russell also testifies that there is no such thing as hell and denies the immortality of the soul.
The members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses are called ‘witnesses.’ Every one of them is a minister empowered to perform marriages, administer baptism, and preach. These faithful ‘witnesses’ believe that only a ‘remnant’ of their whole number, 144,000, are eligible for places in the eternal heaven. The rest shall then be rewarded with a thousand years of temporal happiness upon the earth.
Is a thousand years of temporal happiness on earth equivalent to living forever in paradise on earth? Or are the wise and prudent teachers of the Jehovah’s Witness now singing a different tune? Are not true and credible witnesses expected to be firm and consistent in their testimony specifically in this case where the salvation or damnation of the human being is of the greatest concern? By the way, the Jehovah’s Witness, as a religious group, do not believe in hell and the immortality of the soul and that is the doctrine they profess and preach. Whereas happiness on earth and paradise on earth may be admitted synonymous with each other, temporal and forever speak of two different states of things which are irreconcilable. But maybe, the teaching authorities of the Jehovah’s Witness have better things in mind.
What happens after a thousand year of temporal happiness on earth? Now, the presumption would be: “You can live forever in paradise on earth.” Think diligently about it. Living forever in paradise on earth suggests that, (1) there is or there will be an existing paradise on earth; (2) that to live forever in that paradise is to admit that it is an eternal and everlasting place; and, (3) and that eternal and everlasting place is this earth where such paradise must be situated. The only conclusion to be arrived at should thus reveal that this earth is an eternal and everlasting place not for all of mankind but for them only who are identified and established faithful Witnesses that belong to the religious group called, Jehovah’s Witnesses, which acknowledged founder is Charles Tate Russell. As members of this religious group which is called and identified as “Jehovah’s Witnesses,” every one of them, specifically Charles Tate Russell, are supposed to testify in favor of whatever Jehovah stands for, in His thoughts, words, and deeds. It must then follow that all these testimonies of the Jehovah’s Witnesses must have to be scrutinized, fairly and squarely, in pursuit of nothing but the whole truth.
Who is Jehovah?
The Catholic Dictionary publicly declares that the Bible is the absolute authority recognized and adhered to by the Jehovah’s Witnesses as a religious sect. And the Jehovah’s Witnesses has never denied this. But the pertinent question is: Which Bible? And that poses another very serious problem. The generally acknowledged versions or translations of the Holy Bible from its oldest origins are the Douay Version which has been adapted by the Roman Catholic Church organization, and the King James Version which has been adapted by the Protestants. The reason behind this is that these two versions are the products of very careful, diligent, tedious, impartial studies, analysis and researches by a pool of credible and honest persons whose only purpose is to come out with the most credible, trustworthy and faithful translations of the Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic, into the Latin and now the English language. But the Bible which the Jehovah’s Witnesses respect and adhere to is their own translation. The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures contains so many words and verses which notoriously deviate and differ from the Douay, King James and other earlier translations of the Holy Bible. Obviously, this is the result of studies by the modern International Bible Students or the new Russellites now known as the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Perhaps, the most persistent, unrelenting and resolute testimony of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is that the name of the only true God is Jehovah. And this could be the reason why the name, Jehovah, had been adopted in their version of the Bible instead of Lord in reference to God. Of course, the ministers of the Jehovah’s Witnesses are always willing to explain in more ways than one why they testify that the name by which God must be called is Jehovah. One such explanation from their book states:
“No doubt everyone whom you know has a name. God also has a personal name to set him apart from all others. ‘Is not God his name?’ some may ask. No, for ‘God’ is merely a title, just as ‘President,’ ‘King’ and ‘Judge’ are titles. We learn God’s name from the Bible where it appears 7,000 times. For example, in the King James Version, Psalms 83:18 reads: ‘That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, are the most high over all the earth.’ Also, God’s name is found in most bibles at Revelation 19:1-6 as part of the expression ‘Alleluia’ or ‘Hallelujah.’ This means, ‘praise Jah,’ a shortened form of Jehovah.
“Some persons are surprised to see God’s name in their Bible. This often is because their Bible is one that seldom uses God’ name. The King James Version, for example, uses the name ‘Jehovah’ by itself only in Exodus 6:3, Psalm 83:18 and Isaiah 12:2 and 25:4. However, when this Bible translates God’ name by the title ‘Lord’ or ‘God,’ it always puts this title in capital letters as ‘Lord’ and ‘God,’ which sets it apart from the common ‘Lord ‘ and ‘God.’ Note this at Psalm 110:1.
“'But why,’ you may ask, ‘is God’s name not used in every place that it occurs in the original Bible text?’ Why are the titles Lord and God generally used in its place? In its preface, the American Standard Version explains why it uses God’s name Jehovah, and why for a long time that name was not used: ‘The American Revisers, after a careful consideration, were brought to the unanimous conviction that a Jewish superstition, which regarded the Divine Name as too sacred to be uttered, ought no longer to dominate in the English or any other version . . . This personal name, with its wealth of sacred associations, is now restored to the place in the sacred text to which it has an unquestionable claim.’ Yes, men who translated that Bible into English felt that the reason why God’s name had been left out were not good. So they put it back into the bible in its rightful place.
“There are those, however, that argue that the word, ‘Jehovah’ should not be used because it is not really the name of God. For example, the Catholic Douay Version, which does not use God’ name in its main text, says in its footnotes to Exodus 6:3: ‘Some moderns have framed the name Jehovah . . . the true pronunciation of the name, which is in the Hebrew text, by long disuse, is now lost.’
“Yes, as the Catholic Bible here says, God’s name does appear in the Hebrew text, Hebrew being the language in which the first 39 books of the Bible were written. The name is represented there by four Hebrew letters, YHWH. In ancient times, the Hebrew language was written without vowels, letters such as a, e, I, o and u, which help us to give the proper sound to words. Therefore, the problem today is that we have no way of knowing exactly which vowels the Hebrews used along with the consonants YHWH.
“To help you understand the problem, consider the word, ‘building.’ Suppose that it began always to be written ’bldg,’ and that, in time, the word was never pronounced. How, then, would a person living 1,000 years from now know how to pronounce ‘bldg’ when he saw it in writing? Since he had never heard it pronounced and did not know what the vowels were in the word, he would not know for sure. It is similar with God’ name It is not known exactly how it was pronounced, even though some scholars think ‘Yahweh’ is correct. However, the form ‘Jehovah’ has been in use for many centuries and is most widely known.
“Yet, should we use God’s name, even though we may not be saying it exactly the way it was originally pronounced? Well, we use the names of other persons in the Bible, even though we do not say them in the way the names were pronounced in the original Hebrew. For example, Jesus’ name is pronounced, ‘Yesh’ua in Hebrew. Likewise, it is proper to use God’s name, which is revealed in the Bible, whether we pronounce it ‘Yahweh,’ ‘Jehovah’ or in some other way common in our language. What is wrong if to fail to use that name. Why? It is because those who do not use it could not be identified with those whom God takes out to be ‘a people for his name’ (Acts 15:14). We should not only know God’s name but praise it before others as Jesus did when on earth – Matthew 6:9; John 17:6, 26. – “YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER IN PARADISE ON EARTH,” Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A. 1982, 1989 Edition. pp. 41-43Should anybody or everybody refer to God by the name Jehovah on the basis of the testimony of the International Bible Students or Jehovah’s Witnesses? Or should all men call God Jehovah because He said so? If God really introduced His name to be Jehovah, then why was it not clearly and definitely taken into account in the Biblical revelations in a manner that leaves no room for arguments and contentions? The Witnesses stated:
“Yes, as the Catholic Bible here says, God’s name does appear in the Hebrew text, Hebrew being the language in which the first 39 books of the Bible were written. The name is represented there by four Hebrew letters, YHWH. In ancient times, the Hebrew language was written without vowels, letters such as a, e, i, o and u, which help us to give the proper sound to words. Therefore, the problem today is that we have no way of knowing exactly which vowels the Hebrews used along with the consonants YHWH.”So, it is admitted that the name written down in the Hebrew language is not Jehovah, but that God’s name is represented by the four letters, YHWH, which obviously cannot be exactly pronounced because of the lack of the necessary vowels. The question then should be asking whether or not by inspiring the Hebrew scribes to write down His name in this manner, is it God’s will for His people to pronounce His name or simply read it by the manner it has been written down? It is not difficult to understand and admit that by pronouncing the consonants one after the other, Y – H – W – H, one has already pronounced the written name of God without the risk of violating the divine will. And anybody who knows how to read can say, praise, shout, sing, or whisper the Biblical name of God, YHWH, by his mouth or in his heart without much ado. So why would the true Christian child of God dare take His divine will for granted by jumping into the conclusion of his wild presumption that YHWH should pronounced Jehovah?
The Catholic Church voids the testimony of the Jehovah’s Witness with regard to the name of God. And they look at it in this manner:
“Jehovah. A name of God used in the Authorized (King James) Version of the Bible, the translation in most common use among English-speaking Protestants. It is compounded from two Hebrew forms: YHWH or the Tetragramatton and Adonai. The former was the way the most sacred name of God was written in the early Hebrew texts, in which the vowels were omitted, the actual name being Yahweh. By the second century B.C. the custom had developed by reading Adonai (Lord) instead of Yahweh, which was then considered too sacred to be pronounced. Later, the Massoretes inserted the vowels of Adonai under the Tetragrammaton and subsequently Christian scholars misread the two forms as one word, which resulted in the erroneous “Jehovah.” – The Catholic Dictionary
“Yahweh or Jahveh: The proper name for God among the Hebrews. In Hebrew, there are many names for God; but one of them, Yahweh, occupied such a special place in Hebrew thought that it has become customary in some modern versions not to translate it, but simply to transliterate the Hebrew into modern languages. This name was revealed by God to Moses (Exodus 3:13-15), who had asked for the name he was to give to the Hebrews to whom he was being sent. Spelled with four consonants, YHWH, it is sometimes known as the Tetragrammaton. The name occurs about 6,000 times in the Hebrew Bible either alone or combined with other names of God. Such was the reverence the Jews had for this name that they did not speak it, but wherever the name appeared in the sacred texts, they read Adonai (Lord).
“The Hebrew name is part of the verb, ‘to be,’ and is generally taken to mean, ‘I am who am.’ Thus understood, it is a most appropriate name for God, since it express God’s absolute being, self-existent and eternal. This is the traditional explanation of the name and is usually linked with Christ’ words, ‘before Abraham came to be, I am’ (John 8:58).
“Recent studies, however, have suggested that ‘Yahweh,’ when spoken in answer to Moses’ request for a proper name of God, meant rather, ‘I am who am.’ Thus understood, it would have been an enigmatic reply, a refusal on God’ part to reveal Himself, and indication of man’s powerlessness to penetrate the mystery of God. Instead of being the most apt phrase to express the divine nature, ‘Yahweh’ in this interpretation would be a reminder of man’s inadequacy to understand the divine nature and of the unbridgeable gulf between God’s and man’s understanding.” – The Catholic Dictionary. One says yes, and the other says no. One says the people of God must call Him Jehovah; but the other says no, that is not how the people of God must call Him. And these are but two of the thousand of contending church and religious organizations in the world who individually explains and interprets the meaning and intentions that God really seeks to impart by the written revelations of His Word. What then should the real Christian truth seekers do in their honest desire to call God by His real name and thus be counted among His people?
The right answer is so obvious and easy that one should find himself asking, “Why did I not consider it in the first place?” Yes, indeed. To ask each and every one of these organizational church teachers and preachers would ultimately turn out to be a vain and foolish effort in the end. Why, in heaven’s name, should one forget or fail to seek the truth from the word of Jesus, the Christ who is the Son of the living God? For so it is written:
“No one has at any time seen God. The only-begotten Son, who is in the boom of the Father, He has revealed Him.” – John 1:18
“I have given them thy word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not pray that thou take them out of the world, but that thou keep them from evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth. Thy word is truth. Even as thou hast sent me into the world, so I also have sent them into the world. And for them I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified in the truth.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, last of all in these days has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the world. . .” - Hebrews.
“And they shall not teach, each his neighbor, and each his brother, saying, ’Know the Lord’; for all shall know me, from least to greatest among them. Because I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more.” - Hebrews 8:11-12.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts: neither are your ways, my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts.” - Isaias 55:8-9.
And it is also written:
“Seek ye the Lord, while he may be found: call upon him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unjust man his thoughts, and let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God: for he is bountiful to forgive.” - Isaias 55:6-7.
“Thus saith the Lord: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, and let not the strong man glory in his strength, and let not the rich man glory in his riches; but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, for I am the Lord that exercise mercy, and judgment, and justice in the earth: for these things please me, saith the Lord.” - Jeremias 9:23-24
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father also seeks such to worship him. God is spirit; and they who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth” - John
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me. If you had known me, you would also have known my Father. And henceforth you do know him, and you have seen him.” - John 14:1-4; 6-7.
“The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But there are some among you who do not believe.” – John"He that believes in me believes not in me but in him who sent me. And he that sees me sees him who sent me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. And if anyone hears my words and does not act upon them, it is not I who judge him; for I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects me, and does not accept my words, has one to condemn him. The word that I have spoken will condemn him on the last day. For I have not spoken on my own authority but he who sent me, the Father, has commanded me what I should say, and what I should declare. And I know that his commandment is everlasting life. The things, therefore, that I speak, I speak as the Father has bidden me.” - John 12:44-50.“I praise thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and prudent, and didst reveal them to little ones. Yes, Father, for such was thy good pleasure. All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and him to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” - Matthew 11.Jesus Christ owns the divine power, authority and wisdom to reveal the only true God in His true realities; and that includes the name of distinction by which God seeks Himself to be called by His people. It may be true that the name “Jehovah” did appear many times over in certain versions of the Bible. It is also true that Bible scholars, theologians and philosophers alike, deemed it best to call God by the name Jehovah. But the final say, which all true and faithful Christians must hear and abide without a doubt, must only come from the revelations of Jesus Christ in His Gospel, in His written words.
Did Jesus ever introduce the only true God by the name, “Jehovah?” He never did.
“I tell you and you do not believe. The works that I do in the name of my Father, these bear witness concerning me. But you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me. And I give them everlasting life; and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch anything out of the hand of my Father. I and the Father are one.” - John 10:25-30.“Even if I bear witness to myself, my witness is true, because I know where I came from and where I go. You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. And even if I do judge, my judgment is true, because I am not alone, but with me is he who sent me, the Father. And in your Law it is written that the witness of two persons is true. It is I who bear witness to myself and he who sent me, the Father, bears witness to me. You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would then know my Father also.” - John 8:14-19.Jesus Christ refers to God as both “my Father” and “the Father.” Yes, Jesus distinguished God by that name. He calls God, “Father” and refers God to His brethren as “their Father” because Jesus Christ and every one of His brethren are children of God. He even taught His brethren to pray to God in this manner:
"Our Father, who art in heaven; hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”And this truth conforms with the Scriptures, as it is written:
“Look down from heaven, and behold from thy holy habitation and the place of thy glory: where is thy zeal, and thy strength, the multitude of thy bowels, and of thy mercies? They have held back themselves from me. For thou art our father, and Abraham hath not known us, and Israel hath been ignorant of us: thou, O Lord, art our Father, our redeemer, from everlasting is thy name.” - Isaias 63:15-16.
God has always been the Father from everlasting. His Fatherhood began on that very day that He had begotten His Word as His Son. The only-begotten Son, as the Word, was not brought forth from the womb of God, but was sent forth out of the mouth of God. And Jesus Christ is the Word of God of whom the apostle John testified:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God; and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was made nothing that has been made.” - John 1:1-3.
Should the true Christians contend with these written revelations of the Bible that unequivocally distinguish “Father” as the only name by which the people of God must call upon Him?
Oh, but the ministers and preachers of the Jehovah’s Witnesses do not go around without their package of ratiocinations. They admit that it is perfectly alright for Jesus Christ to call Him Father since He is the Son of God. In fact, they say, every child does not call his father by his proper name, but only refers to him as “father.” But except for his brothers and sisters, everybody else calls his father by his proper name: Peter, Paul, Simon, etc. And so, the Witnesses testify to one and all that the proper name of God is Jehovah. Really, these International Bible Students are a bunch of false witnesses whose wisdom and prudence have gone out of control. This is exactly the same line of reasoning utilized by a couple of Witnesses I came across. And so I asked them and I demanded a straightforward and truthful answer:
“If you agree beyond any doubt that Jesus Christ calls God His ‘Father’ on the basis of His being His Son, then you must have to agree beyond any doubt that you call God Jehovah because you are not His children? And if you are not the children of God, then whose children are you except that of the devil?”I never received any answer at all. They simply begged off and went away, obviously hurt and wounded by the truth. But I did not mean to hurt or wound them or humiliate them by asking that question. It was never my intention at all. Rather, that was how I understood the words spoken by Jesus and His apostle John who said:
"If God were your Father, you would surely love me. For from God I came forth and have come; for neither have I come of myself, but he sent me. Why do you not understand my speech? It is because you cannot listen to my word. The father from whom you are is the devil, and the desires of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie he speaks from his very nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I speak the truth you do not believe me. Which of you can convict me of sin? If I speak the truth, why do you not believe me? He who is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear is that you are not of God.” - John 8:42-47.
“Dear children, let no one lead you astray. He who does what is just is just, even as he is just. He who commits sin is of the devil, because the devil sins from the beginning. To this end the Son of God appeared that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever is born of God does not commit sin, because his seed abides in him and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are made known.” - 1 John 3:7-10.
The children of God call Him Father. And the children of God are His people with whom He will dwell forever in His heavenly kingdom which He has prepared for them from the foundation of the world. Such is the testimony of a true Christian witness that is indelibly written down in the Bible:
“He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But to as many as received him he gave the power of becoming sons of God; to those who believe in his name: Who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” – John 1:10-13.Jesus Christ, as the Word of God, came unto His own but His own did not receive Him. He is the only-begotten Son of God and His own must only be like Him – sons of God who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Without a doubt, the children of God call Him Father. But members the Jehovah’s Witnesses insistently testify and preach that God must be called by His alleged proper name, Jehovah, to proclaim to one and all that they are not the children of God.
And so they further testify: “You can life forever in paradise on earth.” It would perhaps be a waste of time to determine whether this testimony is true or false because it has already been proven that they have been established as children who are not of God. Yet, on the other hand, perhaps it becomes necessary to delve into this, another novel proposition of the Jehovah’s Witnesses that strongly suggests the possibility of living forever in paradise on earth if only because of its relative value in man’s effort to seek the truth or fallacy of every proposition specifically on the matter of faith and religion.
That the Jehovah’s Witnesses as a church organization has formulated their own version of the Bible from which they conceived and promulgated the concerned proposition is at once a very important consideration to bear in mind in the effort to find out its truth. For one, the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures rephrased Psalms 37:29 in a manner so subtle that very many have been misled to take such alteration for granted instead of considering the importance of such alteration or deviation from the older and reliable versions: the Douay and King James.
This is the version of the same verse (Psalms 37:29) in the Douay Version: “The just shall possess the land and dwell in it forever.”
And in the King James: “The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein forever.”
But the New World Translation states: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”
At a glance, the translation seems congruent with the message that the statements in the older versions seeks to deliver, except for the words, “land” and “earth.” Now, if the translation is really in complete harmony with that of the earlier versions of the Bible, what is there the need to paraphrase it? Or why fix something that is not broken at all? Actually, the Jehovah’s Witnesses broke that which is already fixed in order that they may claim the reason to fix it and thereby fix it to conform to their allegations and propositions.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses indeed translated the concerned verse – “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it” (Psalms 37:29) – in order to validate their proposition which suggests that “you can live forever in paradise on earth.” Their proposition was actually adopted as the title of their book which was meant to expound on the why and wherefores of such an allegation. And the book begins with these words:
“Happiness on earth - it does not seem possible to enjoy it even for a short time. Sickness, aging, hunger and crime - to mention only a few problems - often make life miserable. So, you may say, to talk about living forever in paradise on earth is to close your eyes to the truth. You may feel that it is a waste of time to talk about it, that living forever is just a dream.
“No doubt most people will agree with you. So, then, why can we be sure that you can live forever in paradise on earth? Why can we believe that living forever is not a dream?
“We can believe because a Supreme Power, Almighty God, prepared the earth with everything needed to satisfy what we want. He made the earth just perfect for us! And He created man and woman in the best way for them to enjoy life to the full in this earthly home – forever. –Psalm 115:16.
“Scientists have long known about the human body’s power to renew itself. By wonderful means the body cells are either replaced or repaired, as the need may be. And it seems that this process of self-renewal should go on forever. But it does not, and this is something that scientists cannot explain. They still do not fully understand why people grow old. They say that, under right conditions, humans should be able to live forever. – Psalms 139:14.
“Yet, is it really God’s purpose that people happily on earth forever? If it is, then everlasting life is not just a wish or a dream – it is sure to come! What does the Bible, the book that tells of God’s purposes, say about the matter? It calls God ‘The Former of the earth and the Maker of it,’ and adds: ‘He the one who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited.” – Isaiah 45:18.
“Does it not seem to you that the earth is now inhabited in the way that God meant it to be? True, people are living in practically all parts of the earth. But are they living together happily as a united family, in the good way their Creator meant them to be? Today the world is divided. There is hatred. There is crime. There is war. Millions of people are hungry and sick. Others have daily worries about housing, work and expenses. And none of these things bring honor to God. Evidently, then, the earth is not being inhabited in the way Almighty God originally meant it to be.
“After creating the first human couple, God placed them in an earthly paradise. He wanted them to enjoy life on earth forever. His purpose for them was to spread their paradise over all the earth. This was shown by His instructions to them: ‘Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it.’ (Genesis 1:28) Yes, God’s purpose was, in the course of time, to have the entire earth brought under the control of a righteous human family all living together in peace and happiness.
“Although the first human couple disobeyed God, thus proving to be unfit to live forever, God’s original purpose did not change. It must be fulfilled! (Isaiah 55:11) The Bible promises: ‘The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.’ (Psalms 37:29) Often, the Bible tells of God’s arrangement to give humans who serve him in everlasting life. – John 3:14-16, 36; Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3,4.
“We can truly be happy that it is God’s purpose that we live forever. For think: If you had to decide, on what date would you choose to die? You cannot pick one, can you? You do not want to die, and neither does any other normal person who has a measure of health. God made us with the desire to live, not the desire to die. Regarding the way God made humans, the Bible says: ‘He has even put eternity into their minds.’ (Ecclesiastes 3:11, Byington) What does this mean? It means that ordinarily people desire to live on and on, without dying. Due to this desire for an endless future, men have long searched for a way of staying young forever.
“Where is it that humans normally want to live forever? It is where they have become used to living, here on earth. Man was made for the earth; and the earth for man (Genesis 2:8, 9, 15). The Bible says: ‘He (God) has founded the earth upon its established places; it will not be made to totter to time indefinite, or forever.’ (Psalm 104:5) Since the earth was made to last forever, then man should live forever. Surely, a loving God would not create humans with a desire to live forever and then make it not possible for them to fulfill their desire! - 1John 4:8; Psalm 133:3.” - “YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER IN PARADISE ON EARTH” / Copyright: 1982, 1989 Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania. pp. 7-10.That was just three pages of the two hundred fifty-five pages of the written testimony of the Jehovah’s Witnesses with which they want to prove to one and all that the everlasting life God promised through His Son shall be spent here, on this planet earth. But the only thing they proved is an utter lack of knowledge and understanding of the true meaning and intentions of the written words of God in the Bible. The testimony of the Jehovah’s Witness, in its entirety, is full of allegations and suppositions that speak of what God thinks, what He wanted, what His future plans are and all kinds of such wishful thinking concerning His thoughts and ways. That is not what the Scriptures say.
“For what man knows God’s counsel, or who can conceive what the Lord intends? For the deliberations of mortals are timid, and unsure are our plans. For the corruptible body burdens the soul and the earthen shelter weighs down the mind that has many concerns. And scarce do we guess the things on earth, and what is within our grasp we find with difficulty; but when things are in heaven, who can search them out? Or who ever knew your counsel, except you had given Wisdom and sent your holy spirit from on high? And thus were the paths of those on earth made straight, and men learned what was your pleasure, and were saved by Wisdom.” - Wisdom 9:13-18.
These words of Scripture immediately establish the essential importance of scrutinizing the testimonies of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in order to find out once and for all the truth or fallacy of their allegations and ratiocinations. It says that no man knows God’s counsel nor can conceive His intentions unless he is given and receives His Wisdom. Did Charles Tate Russell really receive the Wisdom of God that should give him the authority and enable him to speak and teach God’s counsel and intentions? Is it God’s intention to receive only a remnant or 144,000 of His faithful witnesses in the eternal heaven and then leave the rest to live forever in paradise on earth? Is it God’s counsel for every member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to perform marriages, administer baptism and preach? The Jehovah’s Witnesses, as a religious group, do not believe in hell and the immortality of the soul and that is the doctrine they profess and preach. And so they believe and so teach that 144,000 of the remnant of faithful Witnesses will finally be settled in the eternal heavens whereas the rest, the righteous ones, shall live forever in paradise on earth. So that the rest of humanity who are found to be unfaithful Witnesses and unrighteous shall be annihilated after the battle of Armageddon. Of course, this specific doctrine and precept remains as another proposition in logic which have to be proven true or false by the measure of the written revelations of truth in the Bible. The Jehovah’s Witnesses are actually telling everybody what they believe and teach that will happen to mankind in the end as God so designed and purposed in His written revelations. But do the revelations in the Bible validate such testimonies?
Jesus Christ also spoke of His testimony in this regard. It is contained in His Gospels and it is written:
“But when the Son of Man shall come in his majesty, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory; and before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them, one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and he will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
“Then the king will say to those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; naked and you covered me; sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the just will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and feed thee; or thirsty, and give thee to drink? And when did we see thee a stranger, and take thee in; or naked, and clothe thee? Or when did we see thee sick, or in prison, and come to thee?’ And answering the king will say to them, ‘Amen I say to you, as long as you did it for one of these, the least of my brethren, you did it for me.’
“Then he will say to those on his left hand, ‘Depart from me, accursed ones, into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and you did not give me to drink; I was a stranger and you did not take me in; naked, and you did not clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit me.’ Then they also will answer and say, ‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not administer to thee?’ Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Amen I say to you, as long as you did not do it for one of these least ones, you did not do it for me.’ And these will go into everlasting punishment, but the just into everlasting life.” - Matthew 25:31-46.The leaders and members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses must have to believe that there is indeed an everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels because Jesus, the Son of God, said it. And that everlasting fire is what everybody knows for sure as HELL. On the other hand, Jesus also spoke of a kingdom which was prepared for the just from the foundation of the world. It is precisely in this kingdom where the just will spend an everlasting life. But is this kingdom here on earth? Is it here on earth where the just and the righteous shall spend a life that is everlasting? The Jehovah’s Witnesses say so: You can live forever in paradise on earth. So, they believe and so teach that a remnant or 144,000 of the entire humanity shall enter the eternal heavens, the rest of the faithful Witnesses shall live forever in paradise on earth; and the rest who are found unjust and unrighteous shall be annihilated. But if these were finally annihilated, then where is the everlasting punishment which God has prepared for the devil and his angels and those whom they have deceived?
Here are the written revelations of Scriptures with which to compare the testimonies of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to find out it struth or fallacy.
“After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding fast the four winds of the earth, that no wind should blow over the earth or over the seas or upon any tree. And I saw another angel from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, who had it in their power to harm the earth and the sea, saying, ‘Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.’ And I heard the number of those who were sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand, out of the children of the tribe of Israel; of the tribe of Juda, twelve thousand sealed; of the tribe of Ruben, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Gad, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Aser, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Nephthali, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Manasses, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Issachar, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Zabulon, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand; of the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand sealed.
There are the 144,000 souls that has been sealed. They are the "servants of our God" "out of the children of the tribe of Israel." Most certainly, they are not any one of the chosen members of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
"After this I saw a great multitude which no man can number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and with palm in their hands. And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sit upon the throne, and to the Lamb.’ And all the angels were standing round about the throne and the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, saying, ‘Amen. Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength to our God forever and ever. Amen.’
"And one of the elders spoke and said to me, ‘These who are clothed in white robes, who are they? And whence have they come?’ And I said to him, ‘My Lord, thou knowest.’ And he said to me, ‘These are they who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple, and he who sits upon the throne will dwell with them. They shall neither hunger nor thirst any more, neither shall the sun strike them or any heat. For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them, and will guide them to the fountains of the waters of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’” – The Apocalypse 7:1-17.
"A great multitude which no man can number, standing before the throne of God, serving Him day and night in His temple." Shall this throne of God in His temple be found in this earth? It just is not possible.
“And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he cast him into the abyss; and closed and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished. And after that he must be let loose for a little while.
“And I saw thrones, and men sat upon them and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who have been beheaded because of the witness of Jesus and because of the Word of God, and who did not worship the beast or his image, and did not accept the mark upon their foreheads or upon their hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life till the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection! Over these the second death has no power; but they will be priests of God and Christ, and will reign with him a thousand years.
“And when the thousand years are finished, Satan will be released from his prison, and will go forth and deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, and will gather them together for the battle; the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up over the breadth of the earth and encompassed the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And fire from God came down out of heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was cast into the pool of fire and brimstone, where also the beast and the false prophet; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
The pool of fire is that place called hell which God has prepared for the devil and His angels before the foundation of the world; But the Jehovah's Witnesses deny this truth of the Biblical revelation.
“And I saw a great white throne and the one who sat upon it; from his face the earth and heaven fled away, and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. And another scroll was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things that were written in the scrolls, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and hell gave up the dead that were in them; and they were judged each one, according to their works. And hell and death were cast into the pool of fire. This is the second death, the pool of fire. And if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the pool of fire.” – Apocalypse 20:1-15.
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and the sea is no more. And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Behold the dwelling of God with men, and he will dwell with them. And they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. And death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away.’
The earth and the heaven fled away from the face of Him who sat on the throne and there was no place found for them.Definitely, the Scriptures reject this foolish idea of living forever in paradise on earth.“And he who was sitting on the throne said, ‘Behold I make all things new!’ And he said, ‘Write, for these words are trustworthy and true.’ And he said to me, ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To him who thirsts I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely. He who overcomes shall possess these things, and I will be his God and he shall be my son. But as for the cowardly and unbelieving, abominable and murderers, fornicators and sorcerers, idolaters and all liars, their portion shall be in the pool that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
“And there came one of the seven angels who had the bowls full of the seven plagues; and he spoke with me, saying, ‘Come, I will show thee the bride, the spouse of the Lamb.’ And he took me up in spirit to a mountain, great and high, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Its light was like to a precious stone, as it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal. And it had a wall great and high with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. On the east are three gates, and on the north three gates, and on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city has twelve foundation stones, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” - Apocalypse 21:1-14.
“And I saw no temple therein; for the Lord God almighty and the Lamb are the temple thereof. And the city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine upon it; for the glory of God lights it up, and the Lamb is the lamp thereof. And the nations shall walk in the light thereof; and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honor into it. And its gates shall not be shut by day; for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honor into it. And there shall not enter into it anything defiled, nor he who practices abomination and falsehood, but only those who are written in the book of life of the Lamb.” - Apocalypse 21:22-27.
“But beloved, do not be ignorant of this one thing: that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. The Lord does not delay in his promises, but for your sake is long-suffering, not wishing that anyone should perish but that all should turn to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; at that time the heavens will pass away with great violence, and the elements will be dissolved with heat, and the earth, and the works that are in it, will be burned up. Seeing therefore that all these things are to be dissolved, what manner of men ought you to be in holy and pious behavior, you who await and hasten towards the coming of the day of God, by which the heavens, being on fire, will be dissolved and the elements will melt away by reason of the heat of the fire! But we look for new heavens and a new earth, according to his promises, wherein dwells justice.” - 2 Peter 3:14-18.
“And he said to me, ‘Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is at hand. He who does wrong, let him do wrong still; and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he who is just, let him be just still; and he who is holy, let him be hallowed still. Behold, I come quickly! And my reward is with me, to render to each one according to his works. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.’ Blessed are they who wash their robes that they may have the right to the tree of life, and that by the gates they may enter into the city. Outside are the dogs, and the sorcerer, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.” - Apocalypse 22:10-15.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where rust and moth consume, and thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither rust nor moth consumes, nor thieves break in and steal. For where thy treasure is, there also will thy heart be. The lamp of the body is the eye. If thy eye be sound, thy whole body will be full of light. But if thy eye be evil, thy whole body will be full of darkness. Therefore if the light that is in thee is darkness, how great is darkness itself! No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will stand by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
"Therefore I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, what you shall eat; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life a greater thing than food, and the body than the clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you of much more value than they? But which of you by being anxious about it can add to his stature a single cubit?
“And as for clothing, why are you anxious? Consider how the lilies grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which flourishes today but tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more you, O you of little faith!
“Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or, ‘What shall we drink?’ or, ‘What are we to put on?’ (For after all these things the Gentiles seek); for your Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and his justice, and all these things shall be given to you besides. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow; for tomorrow will have anxieties of its own. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” - Matthew 6:19-34.
“The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and they who exercise authority over them are called benefactors. But not so is it with you. On the contrary, let him who is greatest among you become as the youngest, and him who is chief as the servant. For which is the greater, he who reclines at table, or he who serve? Is it not he who reclines? But I am in your midst as he who serves. But you are they who have continued with me in my trials. And I appoint to you a kingdom, even as my Father has appointed to me, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and you shall sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” - Luke 22:25-30.
“My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my followers would have fought that I might not be delivered to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not here. Thou sayest it; I am a king. This is why I was born, and why I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.” - John 18:37.
“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you all days, even unto the consummation of the world.” - Matthew 28:18-20.
Life forever in paradise on earth; instead of hell, the annihilation of unfaithful witness; the reservation of the eternal heavens exclusively to 144,000 marked souls of the Apocalypse; Jehovah as the true name of God; the “renovation” of this earth into a paradise wherein the just and the righteous shall dwell forever in happiness; and every other testimony of the Jehovah’s Witnesses that they teach and preach as religious doctrines and precepts are hereby impeached and convicted by the written revelations of the Bible as false and erroneous.
What is the Biblical ‘PARADISE?’ The references to the word, ‘paradise,’ in most dictionaries state:
“Heaven, as the final abode of the righteous; an intermediate place for the departed souls of the righteous awaiting resurrection; Eden; a place of extreme beauty, delight or happiness; a state of supreme happiness; bliss.”
However, the Bible distinguished paradise in this profound manner:
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and the sea is no more. And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Behold the dwelling of God with men, and he will dwell with them. And they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. And death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away.’
First, the Bible stated that John saw a new heaven and a new earth because the first heaven and the first earth have passed away and the sea is no more. And then he saw the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride for her husband. This New Jerusalem must then be seen as the new heaven and the new earth which shall come down out of heaven from God. It is definitely the final dwelling place of the just and the righteous wherein God will dwell with them as His people. And why should this holy city, this New Jerusalem, this new heaven and new earth be distinguished as ‘paradise’? There must be no argument that paradise is the eternal heavens, the final abode of the righteous and the place of extreme beauty and happiness. And there is no such place except this final dwelling place of God and His people where they shall no longer die, but forever living without hunger, pain, mourning or crying after God has wiped away every tear from their eyes.
But the Jehovah’s Witnesses says no; the first heaven and the first earth will not pass away. God will only renovate it and renew it. He will tame the wild, fearsome and hostile beasts of prey so that children can play with them without being harmed; plants and trees will produce bountifully all year round in perfect weather conditions in order that the righteous will not hunger but and rather have food aplenty on their tables. And this earth shall be filled with love for one another to live forever in peace. In other words God will make this earth a wonderful place of happiness for the righteous, providing them with everything they need in a life of comfort and convenience. Yes indeed, God can do all those things but that is IF such is His divine will and purpose that His written words truly reveal. Yet still, the Bible has no such revelations.
First of all, the term God does not refer to a title like President or King or Judge. The Bible never said so. Neither did God ever mention that He has a personal name by which men must identify and call Him. Absolutely, the Bible never introduced God by the name Jehovah. If there are indeed some versions or translations of the Bible wherein God is referred to by the name Jehovah, that is but the result of human interpretations which are mere allegations and theories that have never been nor can be proven correctly.
It is God speaking to Moses (who wrote down His words), who said, “I AM WHO AM.” But the Jehovah’s Witnesses, while proclaiming to the whole world their faith in God’s existence as the supreme and almighty Creator, consistently and insistently puts God down to the level of the human being by proposing this need for all men to call and identify Him by a proper name as human beings do. God is AM. He said it and told Moses that such is His name that His people must know and call upon Him. Now, no man can make such claim, that he or she is who am or who is. And there is even no need to interpret this revelation. Rather, the best thing is to refer to the definition of the word, AM.
Am (verb): first person; singular; present indicative of the verb, be.Be (verb and auxiliary verb), present singular 1st person am, 2nd are or (Archaic ) art, 3rd is, present plural are; past singular 1st person was, 2nd were or (Archaic ) wast or wert, 3rd was, past plural were; present subjunctive be; past subjunctive singular 1st person were, 2nd were or (Archaic ) wert, 3rd were; past subjunctive plural were; past participle been; present participle being.Be (verb, used without object) 1. To exist or live: Shakespeare's “To be or not to be” is the ultimate question. 2. To take place; happen; occur: The wedding was last week. 3. To occupy a place or position: The book is on the table. 4. To continue or remain as before: Let things be. 5. To belong; attend; befall: May good fortune be with you.
"I am who Am," manifests to all of mankind that God exists without beginning and without end in His true realities as the supreme and almighty spirit Being. He is the living God, the heavenly Father of His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ. He is called Father by all of the true Christians who were born of God through His only-begotten Son whom they received and believed in perfect faith. In the end, the children of God shall live forever in the heavenly kingdom of God, the new heaven and the new earth, because this heaven and this earth have passed away. They will call God their Lord and Father; God shall call them His children and His people.
The members of the Jehovah's Witnesses, on the other hand, shall join their father, Jehovah, in that paradise on earth that they have invented and envisioned.
